The artists and craftspeople who place* their work in JayWalk come from a variety
of backgrounds. Some are 'working artists', artists who make their living with their
art work. Some make their living in other professions- we have work from a
psychiatrist who knits baby socks, an opera singer who makes sock monkeys, and a
lawyer who designs tee shirts! Most of the art and craft in JayWalk is created
locally, by people who find that the act of making something satisfies their soul.
